ABraytCSPfuture Project Reaches New Milestones at 30-Month General Meeting

As we move into the second half of the ABraytCSPfuture project, the consortium gathered this week in Eibar, Spain for the 30-Month General Meeting, hosted by our partners at TEKNIKER. The event marked an important checkpoint to review progress, align strategies, and define the next steps toward demonstrating a brighter, more sustainable CSP future.

The one-day meeting provided an excellent platform to share technical updates, foster collaboration, and reflect on the collective achievements of the project so far.

Key highlights included:

Sustainability planning: A dedicated roadmap is now under development to assess the techno-economic, environmental, and social impact of the ABraytCSPfuture concept, helping pave the way for future upscaling.

Breakthroughs in materials development: Partners presented the latest advancements in monolithic porous ceramic structures based on perovskites, showing high thermal stability and excellent performance for thermochemical energy storage applications.

Progress in system modelling: New computational tools have been implemented to simulate the performance of the dual-bed thermochemical reactor and guide future experimental validation.

The meeting reaffirmed the strength of the collaborative spirit across the consortium and our shared commitment to advancing air-based CSP technologies through innovative thermochemical storage solutions.

A special thank you to TEKNIKER for their warm hospitality and exceptional organisation!

Stay tuned as ABraytCSPfuture enters its next phase, with new results to be shared in upcoming conferences and publications.
